Beckett (born 5/02) is my second border collie.  She is my first breed champion, my first herding-titled dog, and my joy.  She is very willing to please and learns new tasks easily.  Beckett is out of Chic, an American-bred black and white bitch, and is by Rio Run Gill, a Welsh-bred tri-colored dog.
See photos and the pedigrees of the parents here.

Beckett had her obedience Utility debut in Peoria, IL, on September 14, 2008.  Unfortunately, we NQ'd on the very last jump, but I was very pleased with her effort.  I see a UD after her name within the year!

Beckett and I earned our first Utility leg on November 16, 2008 with a first placement -- only our 4th time in the Utility ring!  We were the only qualifiers out of 11 dogs. Beckett earned her 2nd Q on June 7, 2009, again with a first placement. We finally finished our UD title on August 9, 2009, out of the Utilty B class. It took us 14 tries to get those 3 legs. We also earned our first UDX leg on the same day.

Beckett earned her AKC Started A sheep title in just 3 weekends.  Not too bad for a novice handler and a very eager dog.  Beckett still 'plays' at herding but her herding career is unfortunately over.

Beckett is spayed.
