Trey is my third border collie. She is also a full sister to Beckett — Rio Run Gill x Chic (photos & pedigrees here). She was born February, 2006. She is lively and driven, wearing out everyone in her desire to play. She is quick and eager, but has that desired 'off button'.
Trey earned her first herding title (Started A course ducks) in just two weekends. She entered the herding arena for the first time on April 15, 2009 and finished her title on May 24, 2009. Her three qualifying scores garnered her 1st place in her class each time and she also won Reserve High in Trial with the last two. Trey then went on to earned her B course duck title with three straight qualifying runs at the AKC Border Collie National Specialty!
Trey earned her obedience Companion Dog title by getting her three required qualifying scores in just three attempts. She entered the obedience ring for the first time on March 28 & 29, 2009, and earned two Novice legs, with placements along with the qualifying scores. She then finished her title on May 9, 2009, and added a bonus leg the next day. I am very pleased with her performances.
Trey is AKC breed championship pointed, as is one son from her first litter, and won her first major in March '10.
Trey has had one litter of puppies by HC Rising Sun Sonic Boom OAJ in 2008. Her next litter will be by Ch Locheil Dare Devil from California and is planned for spring of 2011. I am excited about this breeding as Beckham is a fabulous Scottish-bred dog whose blend of herding ability and physical beauty will certainly compliment Trey and together they will produce a lovely litter.
